Annual community connections

  • Student artwork of a person holding a red umbrella stands in front of a busy path. The artwork depicts a winding road leading to a city skyline and a large face, set against a mountain landscape.

    High School Art Shows

Each May, leaders from around the state gather to celebrate budding artists from every region in Washington State’s Superintendent's High School Art Show. We are especially proud to recognize this year’s ArtsEd Award Winner!

    Artist: Jeana Jang
    Title:
    My Road
    Medium:
    Mixed Media (30 × 40 × 1.5”)
    School/ESD:
    Glacier Park HS, ESD 189

Inspiration: "My Road" reflects my determination as I move forward in future. In the artwork I am standing in front of the endless road in front of me, showing the hesitation for what I might encounter. However, I am intentionally not under the umbrella, which I have been using for a long time to guard and block me. This artwork is a promise to myself to keep walking on not anyone else's road, but My Road.

    Our Annual Celebration

Each year, we host an event for arts education supporters to network with others while we celebrate the impact we’ve made together in the previous year and look at goals ahead This is a great first event for newcomers!

In 2023, we began holding this event in multiple regional locations while also live streaming for remote access. Previous regional hubs include Ilwaco, Kennewick, Seattle, Spokane, Tacoma, Yakima, and more.

    Advocate around the State

Each winter, ArtsEd Washington joins other leaders and organizations for several months of online meetings, written updates, and even some in-person advocacy during Arts, Heritage, and Science week in Olympia.

Inspire Washington leads the charge for all arts, heritage, and science updates during this powerful season. ArtsEd Washington backstops the advocacy work with arts education-focused priorities.
