As ArtsEd Washington serves the whole of Washington State, we acknowledge that we live, work, and learn on the traditional homelands of Indigenous peoples. We recognize the complex histories and cultures of the native peoples who have stewarded these lands since time immemorial. This acknowledgment does not take the place of authentic relationships with Indigenous communities but serves as a step in honoring the land we occupy and the Indigenous people who still inhabit these regions today.
We are committed to championing equitable arts education throughout Washington’s schools, including State-Tribal Education Compact Schools, in ways that are relevant and meaningful for their students, staff, and community members.
